On Saturday 17th September 2005 an Open Air Service and Songs of Praise was organised by the Whitwick and Thringstone Churches Together group. It was held at Whitwick Methodist Church and all the Churches involved took part with readings and prayers. The Rev Stephen Ward welcomed everyone to the service and hymns were sung by a large gathering that included David Taylor MP. Music was provided by the Salvation Army and was enjoyed by all.
