Synopsis
A journey through the Christian year, starting in Advent, through 52 meditations on well known hymns from "Amazing Grace" to "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross", exploring the message of the words, the beauty of the music, and their continuing relevance and inspiration for people today. Each meditation is accompanied by the full text of the hymn, plus a concluding prayer. "The Music of Praise" can be used for private reflection or for planning or leading church worship, and includes a new hymn by Canon Michael Saward, not previously published.
