Hall Lane Methodist Church is an all age congregation.  It has a strong ladies group and several other groups that meet together regularly.

All ages are welcome, and tea, coffee and squash are served after each service, with the opportunity to share fellowship together.  Communion services take place at approximately monthly intervals, and everyone is welcome at the Lord's Table.

It is a multi-use building and is located next to Coalville Rugby Club.

Worship

Hall Lane Methodist Summer Fair

Visitors to the 2008 Summer Fair held at Hall Lane Methodist Church in Whitwick were treated to a day of fun on Saturday 28th June.  The fair started at 11.30am and the smell of the barbeque brought people along from surrounding homes looking for some lunch.  Children got crafty making cards and hats and had their faces painted.  Other games included a coconut shy, tombola, hook a duck and jam jar game.  There were over 40 prizes on the raffle which was won by Trudy.  The colourful plant stall sold hanging baskets, planters, houseplants, fuschias, begonias and geraniums.  There were hand knitted bags on the craft stall together with home made pictures and cuddly toys.  The home baked cakes and bread sold out within an hour and the afternoon strawberry teas were just as popular.  The glassware and crockery stall sold everything from a thimble to whole china dinner sets.

The Charnwood Concert Band played throughout the afternoon playing a range of easy listening music such as ‘Is this the way to Amarillo?’ and a medley from ‘The Sound of Music’.

A grand total of £1255.00 was raised from the day and thanks are sent to everyone who helped in any way to make the day a success.

The winning ticket number for the coconut shy raffle was drawn as the fair came to a close, the winning number was 196. To claim the prize please email webmaster@ashbyandcoalville.com.
