100 Years of Worship : 1906 - 2006
A
flower festival was held in June 2006 at Ashby Methodist Church as part of
their centenary celebrations. The theme was Pentecost and the Birth of the
Church.
Displays were arranged around the church, its entrance and the hall by ladies and friends of the church and refreshments were served throughout the weekend.
The history of the church was explained in the leaflet that was given out to visitors at the flower festival and told how a plot of land bought in 1905 for £250. The rest is history!
An enjoyable weekend was had by all who visited the flower festival and by those involved in the organising the event and was a witness that God’s work continues on in Ashby.
